We had Crazy Mismatch day at my school on Friday, for March Madness. It was like Claudia dressed everyone. Stripes with polka-dots and plaid, hair pulled into three ponytails, hair pulled into one pigtail and one braid, pant legs rolled up with two different socks and shoes. It was like living all the Chapter Twos at once!
For my own outfit, I wore: black capris, one blue and black plaid sock, one white sock with snowflakes, purple and cream plaid top under a two shades of blue striped vest. Half my hair in a pigtail, one quarter braided, one quarter hanging loose. Black sandals. Purple fun-fur scarf tied around my waist. Two different dangling earrings.

I like how the ad on this page is to see "Penny Lane" in England. I saw a girl at the "Mall" who was dressed like Claudia the other day. She had hot pink streaks in her hair, striped leggings, a mini skirt, some crazy earringins and hand and leg warmers. Also, a fleece vest and danskos. It was entirely too much and it was like a cross between Tokyo street fashion and Alaska "fashion" . We made fun of her for hours. It was priceless. Okay, so it wasn't really claudia, because claudia's outfits tend to "work".

I'd be down with her outfit until the fleece vest and danskos.

Did anyone in the BSC ever wear fanny packs? 'Cause I saw someone wearing one yesterday. I'm sure Kristy or someone would have worn them. I had an AWESOME fanny pack when I was a kid...shiny neon pink with neon yellow touches and pictures of lipstick tubes all over it.

Dude, my mom still wears fanny packs. BUT usually only when she's going to outdoor events like flea markets or fairs or stuff because her normal purses weigh 300 lbs because she carries so much stuff in them.

I'm pretty sure Kristy is mentioned as wearing a fanny pack in the series.
I had a hot pink land's end fanny pack with a neon yellow zipper. I thought it was sooo cool. Honestly sometimes I wish I had the guts to wear a fanny pack. I can't even bring myself to wear the designer ones they have now. It would be so much more convenient for going out to bars/clubs. I used to hang out at this one bar where the main thief had a crush on me so I felt OK leaving my stuff around, but most of the time it's very risky.

I had that same fanny pack, greer.
And my co-worker has a gold lame one. (I can't put the accent in, I don't know windows shortcuts!) by lame, I mean the word that is pronounced like "la-may"

^I think either pronouciation of the word "lame" would work, given what you've said about your coworkers. Also just the idea of a gold lame fanny pack in and of itself.

Here's the conundrum- a fanny pack looks ridiculous but fills a need, especially for going to amusement parks and such where keeping hold of a purse doesn't really work!

^I admit, when I was younger I totally wore a fanny pack to the amusement park. Of course when I got older it wasn't "cool" to wear one anymore so I took the backpack purse with me, which wasn't always convienent.

Ooh, the backpack purse. I liked those. Also the ones that were shaped like stuffed animals.

Lol my mom still owns a fanny pack and every time we go to an amusement park she still insists on wearing it lol. She says it's easier than lugging around her purse all day which is true but it's just not "cool" anymore to wear one lol ;D. I had one of those backpack purses too. It was purple and when my family and I went to Disney World years ago, I was always walking with it on my back. I thought I was the coolest seven-year old ;D.
