My boss (who, thankfully, won't be my boss for much longer) carries a backpack purse. I don't think she even realizes that it is hideous.

My mom used to always were those fanny packs! I hated those things! I used to carry bookbag purses all of the time and I loved them!

Of course, some women carry purses that are almost as big as regular bookbags!

Fanny packs and book bag purses might come back, who knows.

I hope not. Fanny packs kind of did, but I think people had too many traumatic memories.

I used to have a fluorescent pink, yellow, and green fanny pack that said "New Kids on the Block" on it. Dibble.

^ Haha, well... Hehe.
The difference between you guys reading the fashion descriptions and us non-American's is that as kids, it confused the heck out of us.
I had no idea what a sweater, fanny pack, push down socks, and many more items were as a 6 year old. Lol.

^I never realized how much of BSC was confusing to other people, since I live in the Northeast and we had all the regional food items mentioned.

How about the clothing items?
The food was also confusing. I until recently thought Ring Dings were hard candy rings.

Some of the clothing (bolero jackets, fedoras) were too high-fashion for me to get as a 6 or 7 year old, but I know what they are now.

Mmm... I only realised what alot of the fashions were in the books where they changed the US 'slang' to Australian 'slang', and Mom became Mum, and Sweater became Jumper. Mind you, it lost it's essence, and also, they couldn't change everything.
