If you seriously want some, let me know and I can sort it for you. Mmmmmm now I want one. Kit Kat Chunkys are fantastic...though four finger ones are better for dipping in coffee.
I recently discovered cappaucino flavour kit kats!

^ We have all those kit kat varieties here, and then some. I love the white chocolate kit kats, and love the kit kat blocks. There was a strawberry kit kat chunky that was nice too.

I just remembered another food moment I loved...in Farewell, Dawn, when they had the party, they had the Yucky Food and Healthy Food. The description of the healthy food table sounded gorgeous...

I like how healthy food in BSC books is always gourmet food. In real life, when you say "i don't eat meat" in the US, you generally get a salad. Especially in non urban areas. In some rural areas (alaska) you don't eat if you don't want meat. (or you pay an arm and a leg for half rotten/frozen vegetables)

In Mind Your Own Business, Kristy I thought Charlie might be the long lost Pike quadruplet. He snacked on "frosted grapes" (a bunch of grapes he kept dipping into whipped cream). That sounded like one of the oddities the Pike boys would eat. Off topic, but I accidentally hit the "Subject" button at the top of the threads and it made all the threads go in alphabetical order. Please don't tell me I'm the only one who didn't know you could do that because it's going to save me a lot of search time now.

Haha, frosted grapes are practically the first thing I think of when I think of that book. The stuff you remember.

I remember the frosted grapes in that book as well. It always just didn't sound like a good combination to me.

In MA and the Secret in the Attic they mention "switchel," a drink made with lemonade and ginger ale. I looked it up and an actual switchel recipe is ginger water mixed with molasses and vinegar, and some recipes included honey, oatmeal, or maple syrup. I just think it's a cool name

That sounds very 19th-century.

I remember ginger water being mentioned in The Long Winter by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
