Banning him from driving makes sense in context, but with all the driving he does for Kristy he was probably kind of relieved. The parents still got to push Kristy off to Nannie instead, so they probably still take him for granted and didn't appreciate how much he was taking off their plates.
Not knowing what you want to do at 17 is sooo normal. I didn't apply to college until after graduation, and I changed my major and switched colleges along the way. Charlie has never had the luxury of thinking of himself so no wonder he's a bit lost.

Somehow didn't think about that, but you're right, Charlie was probably happy to have a break from driving Kristy around. Plus, they could probably use the time apart because of the fight(s) they had. Right? I felt so bad for him. I think when you don't know what you're going to do, you notice the kids who DO know much more. I have my BA, but honestly... I'm 33 and still not sure what I want to do lol. It seems to me like everyone has it together, but I know there's no way that can be true. I totally relate to Charlie.
