I remember the dragon making activity, I think she was sitting for the Pikes and Becca was staying there cause of Jessi being in NYC, it sounded really fun and I wanted to be there too at the time.

I still love the feel of this book and how cool to vacation where there is nothing to do except chill out. I still think Stacey acted like most girls her age would but she still pissed me off.

I think the feel of a small island town vacation sounds awesome. I have to admit to still preferring my imagined Sea City at heart. I loved that Ed wanted to spend time with Stacey and that--at first--it sounded as though Stacey appreciated the idea as well. Yes, I understand that at 13 a young teenager "in love" would much rather be with her boyfriend than dad. Dad should have kept up his end of the bargain by spending time with his daughter. I don't think they ever did until maybe the bitter end do much of anything together let alone just the two of them, father and daughter. I also have to say that no matter how taken Samantha was with Ed, she should have felt uncomfortable about the two-week lying arrangement. If she and Ed were truly close enough to already be going on a two week vacation (sort of alone), Ed first of all really should have told Stacey about her but then Samantha also should have stepped up and wanted to meet Stacey. I think Samantha could have easily come up during the second week after Stacey and Ed had some time (really first time since the divorce) to just hang out and maybe get to know one another a bit better. IDK, I just am not a fan of deception. One, O/T, why would Stacey have Watson's FAX number in the address book she brought on vacation?

^ I can easily see her having his fax number in her book, especially since she's going on vacation and could use the fax number to send something more quickly (to Kristy or the other BSC members) than by mail. I can also see Watson letting Kristy and the other kids use his fax number to send stuff back and forth. I remember being younger and I would put everyone's numbers in my address book, even if I really didn't care.

^Lol, Wiggirl, maybe that was the reason! Virgo, to me it just sounded odd for Stacey to mention, possibly because Kristy herself had never Faxed anything to Watson.

I still think Stacey acted like most girls her age would but she still pissed me off. Except for the fact that most girls her age who dated boys her age wouldn't have had to worry about her boyfriend's summer job, since no one hires 13 year olds in the real world.

^That reminds me to ask what exactly did Robert do on the ferry? Did he help people on and off, serve sodas, or what?

^ I saw him doing that as well as being a "captain's apprentice" so-to-speak, helping to gather the ropes and anchor the boat; stuff like that.

As a Lawnguylander, I always see ads about the Patchogue Ferry, Fire Island and Davis Park. It's kinda weird. Also, sorry to burst your bubble, but Davis Park isn't one of the gay neighborhoods on FI. That would Be Fire Island Pines and Cherry Grove.
