^ Thanks. I won't even try watching it, though, with my wonderful dial up connection. ;D

I came across this cover in the dibbly fresh gallery and it fits my image of Elizabeth, actually. I haven't read the book though. Elizabeth looks really nice there. I didn't like her pic in Kristy's Scrapbook though.

Aln, your posting speed is even more amazing now that i know you're on dialup internet. ;D
I think i think of elizabeth as having dark hair because all four thomas kids seem to have dark hair. Of course, my mom is naturally light blonde and my grandparents both had really dark hair, so i guess stranger things have happened. ;D

That cover makes Elizabeth look so much younger than I imagined her. I always thought she had brown hair though I'm not sure why.

Aln, your posting speed is even more amazing now that i know you're on dialup internet. ;D You don't hear me yelling at my computer. ;D Sometimes it's the fault of dialup that I'm on here so much because for some reason, this site always works really fast so I come on here (and get distracted ;D) while I'm waiting for other stuff to pull up and download as I'm TRYING to do something.... Anyone have a much different impression of Elizabeth from LS books than from BSC books? For some reason, she seems more "connected" to the kids in LS. I think she is a good stepmom and good mom, too, but I wish she and Kristy were closer.

Elizabeth looks really nice there. I didn't like her pic in Kristy's Scrapbook though. Really? That's how I always picture her. Watson too. You're talking about the pictures at the end of the newer books right? The one with Kristy's whole family and Watson has his arm around Elizabeth? That's how I always picture Watson. Maybe because that was the first time I ever saw a picture of him. ;D

I liked Elizabeth less as the series went on. As the series went on, it seems like it was Charlie that held the family together, not Elizabeth. I don't understand why she kept having kids with Patrick.

But after #6, Elizabeth and Watson were married and the family got bigger, so what holding together did Charlie do?

Okay. You just said "as the series went on," but it wasn't long before the wedding occurred, so...

One thing that bugs me is that she had so many kids with Patrick. I mean, she knew he was irresponsible and she continued to have sex with him, risking the chance of bring another child in the world (and that's what happened when she became pregnant and later giving birth with David Michael). Did she think she could change him or that he would change for the better?

maybe he wasn't always that way. having a kid later in life and having to start all over from the beginning is scary for anyone. and his being immature wasn't necessarily an indication that he would run out on the family.
