^ I've had kids have the books read to them and then take the tests.... My cousin only reads based on "point" value and it's really sad. Really takes away reading for the sake of reading.... Anyway, I am always happy when I see kids checking out the BSC at the library. ;D That was another reason that I got my own collection - so I wouldn't hog those. ;D

I wish so much that they would reprint the books, because I agree, they arnt going to attract as many people now if the books arnt out there. But I'm really glad that the books are still being read, no matter what age.

^ I agree. Unfortunately, my library used to have several BSC books, and now there are exactly 0. I think they have them stored in their basement and are going to sell them... ^ I've had kids have the books read to them and then take the tests.... My cousin only reads based on "point" value and it's really sad. Really takes away reading for the sake of reading.... Was that for school, Aln? I'd be surprised that some teachers are still using them....or did you make your own BSC test? Either way, I could see myself doing the same thing. ;D I love making tests- in my case, I had my cousins take my BSC personality quiz, even though they don't even know who they are. ;D

^ The tests that kids cheated on weren't BSC ones but for other books. I think there might be BSC tests, though, through the program. I'll have to check. ;D In most of the classes, they have a bunch of "AR" books on a shelf and kids can pick their own in addition to the books they have to read for class. My cousin gets "extra points" (to get bragging rights about being the "best reader in her grade" and if she is, that's sad because..... ;D) I also love taking the quizzes and making them up. Sweetcitygirl, I loved yours and made several of my family members take it. They had fun. ;D I would like to make up a BSC AR test, though. That might be fun. ;D

Thanks, Aln; I'm so glad you liked it and your family had fun with it. It would be neat if you could make a BSC AR test! ;D

Here's a link to the AR tests for the BSC books that are available. My cousin would look at those and say "too low of points" ;D www.arbookfind.com/advanced.aspx

Book It, oh, man, that was so rad. You'd get a personal pan pizza if you met the reading goal for the month. I *always* met it. I'd read like five, six BSC books a week, with a flashlight underneath the blankets after I was sent to bed.

I have little cousins that I always wished would have started reading the books. (I would've loaned them a couple of mine if they had wanted them). The baby-sitter's club was such a big part of my childhood and I just wish I had someone little to pass that on to.
