We had Book It, which encouraged reading with junk food from pizza hut. We had that at my school ;D. Unfortunately, I think I was the only one who actually read to get my reward. Everyone else just cheated so that they could get their pizza ;D.

I always gave my free pizza to my grandma and got a salad. I never wanted an entire greasy pizza, even if it was small. But I liked Pizza Hut because they usually had fun toys, like the ALF hand puppets I have, or the Muppet christmas animals. They also had Back to the Future Stuff, which was cool. I always did the reading because we had to write a report for each book we read. SOmetimes we got to do a "book interview" where we would sit down and tell someone about the book we read. It was this program where people realized that I was a BSC Junkie and had to be stopped.

^ I don't remember the puppets or the pizza hut toys, actually. I did have a lot of the McDonalds toys, though. My favorite thing about using my book it coupons was that Dad would actually take a lunch break and would come to school at lunchtime and pick me up and take me to Pizza Hut on a "date". I always loved doing stuff with just my dad. Just thinking of book it brings back good memories of those lunches. ;D

That does sound nice Aln. My dad and I used to go out on "dates" too when I was younger when my mom would get together with her lady friends once a month.
I remember book it. I used to love that in elementary school.

LOL,he kinda spoils me(Maybe that's because I'm his only girl ;D). When my brothers and I really want a certain thing he'll say,"I'll buy that for you when I get my job payment".He's very loose with money.I LOVE my dad. I LOVE my mom too(Even though she's very strict with money ;D) . Words can't express how much.

If the books were ever reprinted, I'd want them to stay the same, without updated outfits. Otherwise....it just wouldn't be the same. In the 90's, I read 80's books and I just accepted that people didn't dress like that, but the books were still good to me.

^ Me too. Glad to hear someone else feels the same. ;D And I probably still dress like the uncool club members (Kristy ;D) and prefer those fashions to those of today ;D (I won't get into my thoughts on that here... ;D)

I don't know i I would or not. I know that I always read books like the bobsey twins or the three investigators and trixie beldon, and the outdated language and style didn't really bother me that much.

It's like watching an old tv show. You might laugh at the hair and fashions, but you still understand what you're watching.
